U.S. Jefferson nickel, American Bison, coin pendant in a gold filled rope bezel with 14K gold layered rope chain.

The U.S. Mint was lobbied to include the American bison on the nickel. It was hoped that this would help keep the public interested in its continuing recovery after nearly being hunted to extinction after the completion of the transcontinental railroad.

This coin was only minted in 2005.

Gorgeous handcrafted real world coin cut outs. First a small hole is drilled in the coin, then a very fine jewelers saw blade is inserted through the hole and worked around the coins design, cutting away the background. This leaves the coin figure floating inside its outer rim. The cut coin figure is now selectively layered in pure bright silver, then the figures of each are highlighted and brought to life with rich pure 24K gold. This breathtaking and exclusive handwork turns these coins into stunning and true works of art. The resulting jewelry is electrosealed with Tarnavoid in a clear, hard acrylic coating to protect against tarnishing and wear to make sure your jewelry lasts a lifetime.
